Program Overview & What to Expect

The Little Heaters Program is a Hope Valley HEAT initiative designed to introduce young players to basketball through fun, engaging, and age‑appropriate activities. Sessions run according to age group:

  • Ages 3–5: 30-minute sessions

  • Ages 6–7: 45-minute sessions, focusing on movement, basic skills, confidence-building, and enjoyment.

Participants will receive:

  • A structured weekly session led by HEAT‑ endorsed coach

  • Age‑appropriate skill development activities

  • A safe and supportive environment

  • Opportunities to build coordination, teamwork, and confidence

Parents are encouraged to support and celebrate their child’s involvement while remaining onsite throughout the session.

  • A parent or guardian must remain onsite for the entire session.
  • Please ensure your child wears appropriate sports clothing and footwear.
  • Water bottle and labelled belongings are recommended.
